What's Biting:
Redfish: The redfish bite is strong right now, with many anglers reporting success in the shallow flats and near the jetties. These fish are responding well to live bait like shrimp and mullet, as well as artificial lures. Speckled Trout: Speckled trout are abundant, especially in the early morning and late evening hours. Look for them around grass flats and oyster beds, where they’re hitting topwater lures and soft plastics. Flounder: Flounder fishing has picked up, particularly in sandy bottom areas and around the pilings. Live finger mullet and soft plastic jigs are working well. Black Drum: Black drum are being caught near the deeper channels and drop-offs. Fresh crab and shrimp have been the go-to baits for these hard-fighting fish. Tips and Techniques:
